The ban on construction in Bulgaria's Black Sea resorts was lifted October 15, unleashing a raft of new holiday developments.

   A six-seat lift and two new ski runs will be constructed between the Pamporovo winter resort and the village of Stoikite. The route for the lift has already been prepared and trees have been cleared. The route starts from the centre of the village and reaches Snezhanka peak, Focus news agency reported.

  An ancient Thracian village will be constructed near Bulgaria's coastal town of Tsarevo under the PHARE programme as part of Bulgarian-Turkish cross-border co-operation. The village would cover 17 000 sq m of land in the Dulboki dol region above a rocky sea coast, Dnevnik daily reported.

There are plans for a grandiose tourist complex in Bulgaria’s biggest Rhodopi Mountain, where the former biggest Balkan ski resort Pamporovo can also be found. The project, called Perelik, is planned to be constructed at the foot of the highest Rhodopian peak, Perelik, and consists of 200 km ski runs and about 100 km of ski lifts.
